Down in the Pattern Lab
Down in the laboratory, Eley Kishimoto brewed up a lookbook full of painted on and bold-colored, washed delights that play with your optics.

Come to Mama
I recently scored a pair of perfect LD Tuttle black ankle boots and these shots of its Fall 2010 collection are making me drool for more. I can't get over the rich textures and subtle detailing with the unexpected cut-outs, heel dimensions and decidedly placed hardware.

Red Hot American Woman
At this year's highly anticipated and publicized The Met's Costume Institute Gala—with this year's theme celebrating the American Woman, a lot of the red-carpet fashions were elegant and understated just tipping the edge of downright boring. But a lot of the starlets went for glam, quirky and head-turning outfits.
Amist a sea of gowns, Alexa Chung channeled a latter-day Diane Keaton with her menswear-inspired tuxedo by Phillip Lim.
Adore the color and peek-a-boo, see-through lace...so Chloƫ (in Proenza Schouler)
Kate Bosworth in soft-bedroom dressing by Valentino perfectly complemented her old Hollywood coif.
Hot mamas Gisele Bunchen and M.I.A. both outfitted by Alexander Wang.

RAFW S/S10-11: Stolen Girlfriends Club
Rosemount Australian Fashion Week got underway this week, and I'm definitely a fan of the lines emerging from the region. Australia (which I envision as Cali's soul sistah to the south) and New Zealand are on the top of my list for dream vacationing, and I think a shopping spree would ensue once I got there.
Closing out the first day, the Stolen Girlfriends Club catwalk presentation was a mix of '90s tribal and grunge aesthetics.
