For Those Summer Nights

Two perfect white sweaters to keep warm during those long summer nights. It also makes you want to casually strike a I-have-a-migraine-but-I-won't-stop-it-from-making-me-look-fierce pose.

Dancer in the Dark

Freja Beha Erichsen is photographed by Craig McDean playing ballerina for Interview magazine. It's a stunning editorial, and contrasts severity with grace. It also makes me think of the upcoming Darren Aronofsky film "Black Swan" (already infamous for the promise of a lesbian love scene between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis). Costumes for a scene will be designed by Rodarte, so I can't wait to see the finished film which is proposed to be a dark thriller set in the world of ballet in New York.

Where Chloƫ Lays Her Head

Absolutely adore these photos of Chloƫ Sevigny's home. It's just like how I imagine it would be: two parts quirky, one part home-y. The images exude a warm vibe, guests must sit on their hands to keep from thrifting through her closet and antiquing throughout her house.

Elizabeth and James Fall 2010

I've been a fan of Elizabeth and James since the line launched a few years ago. I'm looking forward to the line's Fall collection. It perfectly fits my comfortable level of easy, breezy dressing and mixing feminine silhouettes with a masculine mystique.

Coachella 2010

I'm ashamed that I've fallen asleep at the wheel of my little blogging vehicle. Life, literal aging and other pursuits have kept me away.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend Coachella this year. Missing Jay-Z in the desert is disappoint enough. But I did dream up my festival-going outfit and it was actually something exactly like what Kate Bosworth wore on Day 3 (cutoffs with a lace top and boots) of the musical extravaganza. Pleasantly surprised at how the celebs kept things perfectly casual, unfussy and effortless.
